In an industry often dominated by exclusionary standards and performative marketing, STRAPPED is proud to announce the launch of “The Pleasure Revolution.” More than just a retail space, STRAPPED is an alternative sanctuary designed to provide restorative justice through the fundamental right to Pleasure for the Underrepresented.
STRAPPED Founder, Alex Banx, pleasure educator, created this manifesto to dismantle the social stigmas shaming marginalized folks for seeking fun and healthy pleasure that disproportionately negatively affect women and all marginalized genders.
This manifesto exists because our collective joy is a long-overdue act of defiance. STRAPPED offers pathways to pleasure that are finally and truly empowering, satisfying, and respectful to all engaged; no hidden agendas, no mental manipulation, and zero coercion. Your body, your pleasure! Know you deserve the best.
The Revolution will be UNBOUND:
- UNBOUND from Expectations:
You don’t need to look a certain way, act a certain way, conform to a specific relationship style, care about social status, or fit into a box to deserve joy; unless being stuffed in a box is your kink. You make the rules for how you want to experience pleasure.
- UNBOUND from the Stigma:
The shame forced on us is strategic and methodical. It is not easy for many of us to consider our pleasure, whether solo or partnered, because that shame has been an effective tool for control for centuries. Man-made constructs forced on us keep most people obedient and predictable, barely functioning on fear, ridicule, and exhaustion.
STRAPPED is here for the under/misrepresented—women, LGBTQIA+ folks—everyone who’s ever been told their desires are “too much” or “not enough,” not important, or that they need to be suppressed and denied.
Pursuing pleasure on our own terms is how we take our power back. But the goal isn’t just to satisfy ourselves; it’s to develop the confidence to pleasure our partner(s), as well, if they exist. Refuse to be mediocre. Boring lovers are the boringest kink.

We’ve ripped up and thrown out the non-reciprocal fantasies forced on us by social media, corporations, and predatory traps. We do not treat pleasure-seekers as irrelevant or as consumers with weak minds ready to be brainwashed and exploited. We are here to provide a sanctuary built on a foundation of genuine respect. Resources. Community Joy. Your autonomy is our priority.
